Finding parents of someone born 1905

Is there a way of finding out the parents names for someone born 1905, or do I have to wait until the birth cert arrives. The person is Herbert James Barrett b. 1905 Pontypridd.

The last census available is 1901, so, unless the mother's maiden name was showing on freebmd .............. you'll have to wait until the certificate arrives! Sylvia
