just thought I would share this with you. I have been reseraching my GGG Uncle who moved to America in 1800's. I found him on Census and wanted to find out more about his life as he was a farmer with a fair bit of land and money. As a long shot I emailed what would have been his local libary explaing who I was looking at and the small amount of information I had. Today I recieved a e mail stating that someone had researched for me and is sending photocopies from several county directories, plat maps, obituaries, and census information. Several records at the Fond du Lac County Register of Deeds office and have included notes about the information contained in the registrations. What a result all from sending 1 little e mail which didnt cost me a penny

How lovely and lucky!! that your email was picked up by someone who was interested in your query and took on the challenge to have a look for you. bet it took some time and they felt great as they found info. Lucky you Eh .wish I could find info on my German grt grandparents like that Shirley
