Hi I know nothing about the iron industry so just want to know if the following 'career' progression sounds feasible: 1871 - Shingler at Iron Works 1879 - Fitter 1881 - Iron Moulder 1891 - Railway wagon wheel Turner 1901 - Turner or Fitter in Iron Foundry The question is....would the 1871 chap who was a Shingler have progressed to being a fitter etc.?
