According to the records on Ancestry, he joined up in Sept 1914, and was discharged on 2/11. Described as 'Unlikely to make an efficient soldier'. There are three separate batches of docs about him........... Reg

No,no children. My mother was an only child. On another subject,I have just found on Ancestry that Cameron had an army record .Where would I look for discharge papers if I have found inlistment papers on ansestry for 1887 1900 and 1914 in the pensions bit.

Lesley, Were there any children from the 2nd marriage? If so, when was the first one born? Janice

Lesley

Lesley Report 14 Aug 2007 14:49

Yes the birth is my mum.yes her dad did die when she was only 5 or 6 . He was a lot older than her mum.The marriage would have been in the london area .He lived at islington,Woolwich,Westham,Leyton ,Raynes park and Wimbledon .She lived at Wimbledon with the second husband. If you need anymore info I will rack my brains but I think thats it.I have looked on FreeBMD and Ancestry. The other marriage would have been in the Wimbledon Surrey area too.

Where are they likely to have married and where have you looked so far? I think you have those dates wrong somewhere - the hubby would have died when she was only 6 years old!
