I've just clicked a link to view the new version of the homepage & seen someone with 36 hot matches to my tree. When I clicked on his name, the 36 people listed include me, my partner, parents etc but he in not even one of my contacts, & neither of us can view each other's tree! I then reverted back to the old homepage, & while the hot match is still there, when I clicked on it there was no info available. Should I be worried or not? |

Not quite sure of the problem but Hotmatches are not dependent on being able to see each others trees. It appears that the new display has been modded to fix the previous bug that was displaying Hotmatch contacts with the same member more than once, so perhaps it is connected with that. |

i have had this. what surnames are you researching i am doing hammond, stockwell gutteridge an barham. I found 76 living relatives on someones tree, i did report this to genes they said they could get him to remove the living relatives but he kept adding more names and i had a feeling he had viewed someones tree and printed it. i am worried as some of them are children. He had a lot of info about my immediate family, i am now very careful who i share my tree with |

Different names Angela - mine are mainly Sainsburys & Leighfields. How could anyone else have me in their tree without even having contacted me? |

Have just sent him a message & realised that, contrary to what GR tells me, he is in my list of contacts, I did share my tree with him, & he has obviously just copied my entire family onto his tree! |

From what you say it sounds as though you deleted him from your contacts at some point, which is why you could not see him when you first looked. Sending a new message will cause the person to reappear in contacts. Just check, though that your tree permissions are still as you want them to be. |

It might be another technical glitch. Someone emaild me asking why I had some of their living family in my tree as shown on hot maches but I didnt! We had matches on a couple of generations and GR somehow listed everyone in a particular line in the match list. |
