hi, can any one help with adoption info. my gandmother was adopted in paisley, scotland in 1912. i am told that records did not come into play till the 20's, but i have a feeling that even then they did not jst give kids away to anyone. someone must be on record as having taken her into their care. also, i know she was born at a place called auchentorlie house, but i have no idea what this building is and have found no traces on any searches done for it.
