Deborah Chester Did your nan have older siblings alive in 1901, if so you will be able to identify more easily your John Boyle on the 1901 census-- there seem to be 2 living in Salford one b in Ireland age 41 and one b in Liverpool age 38, if he is either of these that means he was alive for the 1881 census and possibly living at home with his parents and siblings- so if your goal was to go back another generation you can achieve this(albeit unconfirmed) without needing to find his marriage and birth certs. Remember if you find Mary Lloyd was born in Wales( it is a welsh name) they would have possibly married in wales |
