Point taken with regards to offering our services to those that have taken the time to decipher pages upon pages of transcriptes so that we have the pleasure in finding the twigs upon our family trees. Unfortunately Mr Worboys myself like the majority of novice genealogists are just about getting our heads around this fasinating pastime let alone transcribing hard to read documents/registers that needs a keen and professional eye. I'm not saying that we leave it to the professionals, but first things first if you wish to get on your soap box and start recruiting please hold your bombardments of "you should do this and you should do that" until these fellow genealogists have mastered the do's and don'ts then maybe they will get the taste to help others as I find in my spare time a pleasure. You sound like an old hand at this genealogy game - why not help the beginners, not with just advise Happy hunting Linda
