Brian Yes LDS are Personal Ancestry Files. The numbers afterwards just refer to which version, the higher the number the newer the version. I use 5, it easy to use and the help screens are very good. I think you can update from one version to another if you find you need a more complex one. I tried a few free downloads before I settled on this one. It was the simplest to use but has lots of room for notes and sources. And the best thing.....IT'S FREE!!!!!
