Stuart - of course the point of the site is to allow people to make contact, but driving people away will not improve it. Genes Connected will only achieve its stated aims by attracting the largest number of people possible to register. In doing this, it will inevitably attract many people that are not serious genealogy-heads and that may not answer every e-mail they receive (for whatever reason). I think of it as the price that we pay for such a large database of names. Once again, I feel sorry for those that get no reply (and I am amongst you), but it won't do you any good to work yourselves up over it. If the dilletantes are frightened off, this becomes no more than another specialist, exclusive genealogy site and what good is that to anyone?
