Emma. WELCOME TO THE ANORAKS CLUB!!!! You will at some stage have to buy certs. which will give you information to enable you to go further back. If you can get to the Family Records Centre in London, you can look at the ledgers for births, marriages and deaths. If you do go, make a list of everything you want to look at otherwise you will find yourself going round and round and not getting anywhere!!! You can also view the census records on film. I go quite often and get withdrawal symptoms if I don't!!! Good luck Jan from Gravesend, Kent.
