Last night I was looking up "Reunion 8", a family tree software specifically for Macintosh. (Costs a bomb £75.00+). The site I was on, TWR Computing, also had the following which worried me rather: Folio Views v4.22 for the Mac provides "unlimited searching directly on the LDS British 1881 Census DCs etc on Mac Computers, obviating the need to purchase a PC emulator! Includes TWR Computing support for use with LDS data CDs." Cost: £123.00. Would some kind soul out there translate into words of one syllable for me please, as it means b****r all to me?! Might it perhaps imply that one of the reasons I keep getting messages from freebmd, LDS, etc sites saying "no such match has been found" is because I use Mac and therefore need either a PC "emulator" (whatever that is) or the thing they're advertising? Are there any other Mac users out there who know what's what?
