Brian: Legally your on safe ground, unless you distributed copies of the actual images. Besides which if you don't tell anyone where you got the information, who's to know that you didn't just look at the fiche or books which are free? Which of course answers your other statement, you DO have free access through libraries and record centres across the country and even in future FreeBMD but 1837online is a commercial site, unconnected with the government and they have the right to charge whatever they like, unfortunatly. Rosi: Yes it IS expensive and thats the main reason I've not used the site yet. I know they have to recoup their investment but I'm hoping once they've done that they will adjust the cost to a more resonable level.
