The Ghost of a Message.

Vivien's inappropriate String about smoking leads me to a question: If someone deletes their original message, what happens to the String? It could happen that a lot of useful information gathered from all over could be lost just because the person who originated the string had had enough of it. That seems a pity. Comments anyone? Jim

Thanks Richard. I tried to delete it, but as it was not on the menu I deleted everything letter by letter. It would not let me do it. So it appears that once someone has replied the string (oops sorry THE THREAD) can only be removed by GC. Jim
