I'm looking for an ancestor who emigrated from Devon, but all I know is that he trained to be a minister in about 1880. Is there a register for people who trained at this time? I've been told that Crockfords contains current clergy, but didn't know if it went back this far. Help please! |

I am pretty sure that Crockfords goes back a long way. Good Luck. Jim, Gosport. |

Crockfords Clerical index appears to start from 1858. I did find a site which gives a little information about where records can be found on www.lhrinfo.ac.uk/gh/clergy.htm but you may find more if you put it into the search engine. |

Thanks, I'm off to find a copy of Crockfords in the local library now! |
