Hi, just wondered if anyone can help me? On my great grandfathers discharge certificate from WWI, it states that he had "2 blue chevrons". does anyone know what this means? I know he was a sergeant if that's any help. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks, Lindsay.

Blue chevrons were generally awarded for tours of duty overseas, do you know the regiment your great grandfather served with?. Mike
