I have traced my husbands family to Ulverston. However I now have the parish registers for the parish church of Ulverston from 1545-1812, and my husbands g.g.g. grandfather, b 1788, is not there, nor his parents wedding. I can only assume the family, mariners, came from outside of Ulverston, but how would I ever trace them? |

Is there a Family History Society covering the Ulverston area? By the way which County is it in? Jim, Gosport, HAM. |

Ulverston was lancashire in those days. Ulverston does have a heritage centre plus there is a FHS for cumbria. I am a member of the FHS for Lancs, so perhaps should pick their brains. |
