From the Home page of the above: "The PRO has altered the way their system works to include an address search facility which is OK unless you are keen not to spend too much money. This has had a knock-on effect in that this decoder (and several others) no longer correctly calculate the Piece & Folio numbers from the Page ID. For unknown reasons, the PRO system has been altered in such a way that the Page ID for an individual is now different every time the system is used and possibly created using some sort of encrypted algorithm. This makes it impossible to calculate the Piece & Folio numbers which was helpful in determining how many pages would need to be downloaded (and paid for). It 'may' be this action has been taken in order to stop end-users enjoying the benefits of data, freely given by our ancestors, in order to maximise the income from providing incomplete information but there may be other, technical, reasons why this has been done. If you feel this is depriving you of information that should continue to be made freely available, then you have the option of contacting the PRO through their "Contact Us" option on the PRO website at http://www.census.pro.gov.uk/index.html. If you do not receive a satisfactory answer, and are in the UK, then you are at liberty to raise the matter higher through your local MP." Vera
