April, thanks, that is the family that I had assumed were my connection, however when I read the 1901 census I found that Alice lived with her husband to be Sidney Springer and Emily Gribble. I again assume that Emily is her mother and therefore the Eliza and William previously traced are not her family..but them you know what they say about ASS U ME. Tracy

After finally paying to view the 1901 census pages I find that I may have been tracing the wrong family!! Now I have spent all my money this evening can anyone please check if there is an Emily Gribble (age 46) with daughter Alice Maud (age 10/11)or just Maud (as in 1901 census)and if the husband is still alive. They would be in Middlesex area. Many thanks to you Tracy Brotherton YKS
