Member Since: July 2003 Posts: 2 Send Message	I am hoping to find out infomation on my great granfather. his son's name, my grandfather, was Phillip Flavin. The only infomation i have on my great grandfather was that he served during the first world war and was severely injured, so much so he couldn't work again. I am alos looking for infomation on a brother or brothers of Phillip Flavin. Thank you

Member Since: May 2003 Posts: 193 Send Message	Simon, You should track them back using your father's birth certificate then grandfathers marriage and birth certificates, as links in the chain. The family will probably be on the 1901 census unless he was really underage in 1914, but there are no short cuts since unless you have the information from the later birth and marriage certificates, even though you have the advantage of a relatively unusal name you wont be sure you have the correct family.
