Thanks for your help. STill none the wiser though. there is another twist to the tale, so to speak. Benjamin Jones was born in Monmouth. There are two different sources, one says Bream and the other says Monmouth but I now know 100% that it is monmouth!!

Hi There is a Benjamin Jones who married a Caroline Tyler at Christchurch, West Dean Glos. on 25 Dec 1845. (IGI on Family search). Confusingly there is also a Benjamin Jones who just married a Caroline of West Dean "about 1860". Christchurch is near enough to Bream for the first one to be a possibility. Now you need to prove it! Thanks for your help, but I may have led you down the wrong path. My apologies, I meant to say that her married name was Jones on the 1881 census. Thanks for all your help so far and if any can help further it would be greatly appreciated. her are all the deatails I have. Benjamin Jones, Born Bream, Gloucestershire 1823 Caroline ?, Born Lydbrook, Gloucestershire, 1831 (abt) Enoch Watkins, Born Lydbrook Frederick Watkins again Lydbrook and whole bunch of brothers and sister, all of which I found on the LDS site on the 1881 census. but I still annot find my great great Great Grandmothers (Caroline) Maiden name
