Hi Elton Thanks for looking so thoroughly!Yes I have all the info on Mary Ann Allen nee Workman, she was my great grandmother by the way. Mary had at least 2 illegitimate children Barbara & Annie. Married Fred in 1885 and had William in 1886. Will appears as an Allen in 1991. We think the enumerator incorrectly put a ditto in 1901 when listing him after his half sister Annie Workman! Incidentally it looks Barbara Workman married Fred's brother William. I love this stuff!!!!!!! |

Thanks Margaret, I used Soundex on the surname and also tried Edm* and Edw* for the first name but nothing even vaguely likely came up. |

Sorry! I would expect them to be in Holy Cross, Pershore, Worcestershire but I even took into consideration when searching that they might be away from home that night! |

I've just been on Ancestry.com doing every possible search I can think of to find Edmund Workman and his family. No banana! No probs finding them on 1881 and 1901. Family members include: Edmund b 1838ish Bessie/Betsey b 1838ish (wife) Barbara b 1874ish (grandchild) John b 1885ish (grandchild) not sure if any of their children also appear. Many thanks Ruth |
