Does anyone know if there are any lists of Irish Merchant Seamen from the 1940's and 50's? |

Hi Margaret. Your best bet is to go to "ask Jeves" (www.ask.co.uk) or any of the other search engines and enter questions like "lists of Irish Merchant Seamen" etc. I've had a quick look on jeeves and there are many different web sites that may be able to help, sorry, but there were too many to list ! |

Margaret go to www.mna.org.uk which is the Merchant Navy Association site. They should be able to give you the address to write to. Also links on this site to other very helpful sites about the Merchant Navy. Merchant Navy Day is September 3rd - initiated in 2000 for the first time. Kathleen |
