Yes that old chesnut, Free Reg. Once again I have visited this site with it's promises of pre 1837 information, which we all long for. Does anyone know when this site will actually become available. When I scrolled down to the bottom of the page it says last updated 27 November 2001, Somebody's having us over do you think? another job started but never finished?

I agree I have been looking at that site since the begining of February, and it still says the same. perhaps one day hopefully. Debbie

Hi Vicky, I too have my doubts about FreeReg ever being up and running.

I do think its such a shame as the information they promised could lead us all so far on. GC should check it out or remove it from the links page - vicky

the free Cen page was the same the info not changing maybe the trouble is they dont have enough transcribers imagine the amount of info there is to input. Maybe one of us should email them and ask or some of us should volunteer to transcribe
