I have just tried the census decoder again, it comes up person not found.Then I get Internet Explorer Script error do you want to continue running scripts?I have tried contacting them and all I get Is "following must be entered Internet Service Provider, so can one of you computer experts help me out.I would like to know about Henry Chas Wood born 1870 London Middlesex, what family if any he has, would it be able to tell me on the census? Just out of interest I typed John Smith London I did get results so why on my names was it not showing me any details, this is so frustrating. From Sue....................

Sue, Sounds like you are filling in too much information when you search. Just try the minimum like his name and age +/- 2 years. I don't see any Henry Woods born in Middlesex but I see some for London. Do you know what his occupation was? Or his wife? Crista

Hi Crista, I don't know his occupation maybe a stone mason I have no information of a wife. It says he was born in London, but the census took place in Edenham is that what I should be looking for?(Lincoln), Sue........

Susan, There are several Henry Woods but none born in London or Middlesex and living in Lincoln. Crista

Susan, There's a Henry Charles Wood age 31 living in Surrey and he is a wood engraver. Place of birth is marked as unknown. Could this be him? Can't see anyone with the same surname with him though? Crista

There are a lot of spelling errors in the 1901 census so try using wild cards in your search. ( see message on guest book titled "wild cards???"). I could not find my great grandparents but discovered on the census their surname Dixon was spelt Dixen!
