Jessica and Anthony, thanks for your replies. Anthony, how much time do you spend on Free Census? I'm already helping with the Lancs BMD and I wouldn't like to volunteer and then find I haven't really got the time. June,Nr.Prestom.Lan.

Freecen, will get better it was like this at first from FreeBMD, the idea is that as people see the real benefit from Freecen they hope to attract more volunteers (like me for instance)once done we will not know how we got by without it. Tony

When it was first searchable i found a GTGT uncle who had died by 1893 on the 1891 census and it revealed he had a son and a wife i didnt know about. By 1901 the son had died too and the wife remarried. Haven't had any luck since though!!! Jessica

Just as a matter of interest, how many have been successful with Free Census? I know they are comstantly updating,so I go in every day and check 6 Counties but without luck. June,Nr.Preston.Lan.
