Just registered a few of mine. Checked some of my names and found at least one hopeful! Kathy Epsom, Surrey

Once on the home page their are links down the left hand side. You need to click on 'manage entry' and this will take you to the page to record your certs details.

Will register mine as soon as I get them back from my mother-in-law. I have lent her all my info to look at, hoping that it will motivate her into organising her own!! Maggy

I always thought that the ukbdm site was for people who want to get rid of unwanted or wrong certificates. Can you also register certificates to exchange information with people? If so I will register some of mine. Maggy, West Yorkshire

Brian and Vera you must be more street-wise than me - I'll put on my dunces cap!! Never heard of that abbreviation before - shows I don't get around much. I thought it was some new-fangled website I've never heard of! I'll try the proper site ukbdm.co.uk

Vera You do say the nicest things, seeing as I qualify for Saga (just). Kathleen: sorry for the confusion: I did mean "In my honest opinion", I was referring to the ukbdm site as in the above postings.

Kathy That is one of the problems of this younger (?) generation being lazy and using abbreviations instead of saying what they mean. Not all of us are 'cool' and IN MY HONEST OPINION (IMHO)I really don't like it, even though I DO use them myself sometimes. Vera Manchester LAN

Brian and Susan Good idea. Can you tell me the full website address of the IMHO site? Kathy

Susan

Susan Report 13 Jul 2003 15:07

When you register the certificate on the site you can say whether the certificate itself is available or whether it is only the infomation held on it that is available. That way you can also register certificates you wish to keep.

IMHO it is worth posting certificate details on these sites, whether one wishes to dispose of them or not, as it constitutes a valuable data resource and fleshes out what is available on freebmd and 1837online.
