Hello everybody. I do keep a printout of all the info in my PAF, but that is not my major file, just a working model and subject to amendment. When I have confirmation on my direct ancestry I enter them in My Book. This is my definitive Genealogy. Jim |

Margaret I also have mine writen down.I have a couple of the Hard backed exercise books on for each family, eg Stephensons, Marshalls,Higgins etc and on every page I have a different person, with their dates of birth,marriage name of spouse, children and anything I find out about them I just add it to their page.(hope you understood that) Chris |

Does anyone else keep all their infomation written down? I keep all mine in a folder written on forms from the LDS website, just in case!! Maggy |

Good idea Lynne, but as I am on cable TV Internet I don't have the facility to print, upload or download or all those other magic things the rest of you can do with a real computer. Jim |

My way is probably not the best, but I only have 241 people so it's not too bad for me. What I have is a card for everyone that I have on GC - so that if ever my PC goes bust, I still have everything! I count the cards and if it doesn't add up to the same as GC, I go to Name Summary and then count out the cards accordingly e.g Smiths 20, Stevenson 3 etc etc. Like I say, probably not the best way but.... If you do decide to do it this way, and you come across a surname and you have too few cards, then you need to go to your names, find the right surname and go through each forename to see who you have missed. A bit messy but... it works for me at the moment. Good luck. |

I have about 800 names on GC. I have about 1200 names in my tree. Does anyone have any idea how I can identify the ones I have missed off? Apart from doing a printout of all my rellies and ticking off the ones I have entered. I have made several attempts to see who I have missed, descendants of Ancestors Siblings, but having a hard time. Jim |
