Hi Alison I have just re-read your message, and this must be the one, because other people living at the same address have the surname Field. Here goes: William D Chaplin,Head,28,Farm Labourer,born Brentwood, Essex Alice Chaplin,Wife,27,born Worthing, Sussex Ernest G Field,Brother,14,sawyer,born Worthing, Sussex Jane Field,Sister,11,born Worthing,Sussex Laura L Dawson,Niece,1,born Greatham,Sussex Henry D Chaplin,Son,1,born Greatham,Sussex They were living at 9 Glebe Cottage, Greatham in Sussex. Sorry it took me a while to come back!!

Hi Alison I have found a Laura L Dawson, aged 1 living with her Aunt and Uncle (William and Alice Chaplin) in Greatham, Sussex, where she was also born. Is she the one?

Hi All, Apparently my Gr. grandmother is on the 1891 census. Unfortunately I lost contact with the guy that previously replied...and my message is long gone now. Is there any chance someone could re-check the info for me please. Her name was Laura Lavinia Dawson/Field (she was illegitimate), she was born 1889 in Thakeham, Sussex. Her mother died when she was 6wks old. I'd be grateful for any help. Thanks Ali
