Hi This might be impossible but I'll ask anway. I'm looking for a woman called Isabella aged 64yrs, b Alston CUL. I'm starting to suspect that she remarried sometime between 1881 & 1891 as I can't find her death. May be in County Durham. George |

Well I can at least rule those three Isabellas out. Can you try the name Isabel and add 1yr/minus 1yr. Thanks George |

I'm mystified as to what became of her. She married in 1852 to John Thompson. I found her as a widow in 1881 living in Darlington. A very kind soul searched through registers of three cemetaries in Darlington and a couple of church registers for her burial but could'nt find her. According to the electoral registers the house they resided in 1881 was empty from 1882-1887. She was 54 in 1881. In 1881 she had shortened her name to Isabel when it should be Isabella. George |
