The Osmonds are well known mormons aren't they. If you go to www(.)donny(.)com there is a question and answer section all about baptisms and faith of mormons etc... Tracey, Bolton |

They are a pain when they knock on your door or stop you in the street, but they are remarkably helpfull in the reading rooms. AND.....bonus, they didn't try to convert me! J, |

Dear Stephen, The Latter Day Saints are also known as Mormons.They are very serious about their religion,and I have heard they baptise everyone on their lists of people,I don,t know how true that is.The Catholic church would never give them any info. about their registers.I was told when I started that some people would not go to their Churches in case they got roped in.I have been to one, they call them Temples ,they are very nice.Their registers are the International Genealogy Index, or I.G.I.and can be informative. Stephen, It is the mission of latter day saints to trace their ancestors and retrospectively have them baptised into their faith. Thats all I know, but I'm sure others will fill you in with more detail. |

I have been reading someones tree on the later day saints and they refer to events being sealed,endowed and even a baptism to their church 90 years after the persons death. Can someone explain to me what this all means. Thanks Stephen |
