Hi Here's the phone number and address of Lewisham Registry Office. They might do a search while you are on the phone: 368 Lewisham High Street Lewisham London SE13 020 8690 2128 George

Laurie Check for all variations of the spelling of her name. I was searching for my ggrandfather for ages as his marriage cert said John Michael Humphreys. It turned out he was registered as Michael Humphrey and even the GRO did not find it when I paid extra for a 3 year search, asking them to try all variations and giving his father's name - and they charged me for the search! I finally found it myself by re-checking. Lynne

Hi Kat, As far as we are aware she was born around Lewisham or Kent. So it's a bit broad. She was born in 1909 (2nd Sept) I got those details off 1837. Laurie

Hi everyone, The problem I'm having is with my Nan, I have her marraige and death on 1837 but not her birth even though she was born in England. I can't seem to get back further than her, I know her dad's name but because she was born after the 1901 census I cannot check if the man who I have found, that I think maybe her Father is! Confused? sorry. Ihave posted messages on this site but nobody knows of her. Laurie
