I am planning to have a wander around Seighford Graveyard on Sunday. I am sure that there are not many of you that would be interested, but if anyone would like me to have look for any names for them (I will be looking for Worthingtons) please let me know and I will be happy to have a look and take some photos. Regards Maxine

Hi Maxine Not sure where your Seighford Graveyard is, but I have ancestors from all over the Staffordshire area. If you come across any graves of the Dykes family I would appreciate it if you could make a note of them for me. Many thanks, and have a nice day. Hilary

hi Hilary Seighford is about 3 miles outside Stafford. I'll let you know if I find any Dykes. Regards Maxine

Hi Hilary I finally got around to going to ST Chads at Seighford, unfortunately I didn't find any Dykes, although I did look. Out of curiosity, were you family anything to do with "Bratt & Dykes" the department store in Hanley? If so I should imagine there would be a lot of documentation around the store in local archieves, as the Store was going for donkeys years and only closed about 20 years ago. Regards Maxine

Hello Maxime. My Great grandfather was Joseph Worthington, Born at Tunstall Stafford, he was still alive in 1881 but not in 1891. Would be grateful if you would have a look for me. Best Wishes May

hi May I don't think your Joseph would be linked to Seighford, as Tunstall is about 20 miles away. I will however keep an eye for him generally. I have given you access to my tree incase it helps at all. Regards Maxine

Hi Janet I have replied to your Hopton cottages query on your original message - but it is unlikely he would be buried at Seighford as Salt is the other side of Stafford. Regards MAxine
