Laurie, Depends where you are, the 1861 is not on-line (though there may be some areas put on line by individuals or fhs if you are lucky and some publish cds to buy) generally you will have to go to the relevant local record officer, or if you are within travelling distance of the Family Record Centre in London you will be able to consult all the census returns from 1841 to 1901 for the whole country. Hi, I'm a bit stuck. Trying to find details on rellies on 1861 census' can anyone tell me how to get hold of the relevant census'? Kent, Lincs & Gloucester. My tree is at a standstill until I can get the info off them. Thanks Laurie
