Margaret If you go to the links on the MNA site and click on Links 1. British Merchant Navy at War 1939-1949 is Billy's site. There is a message board but you can also e-mail Billy and he can usually direct you to where you can find the information you want if he can't answer himself. There is also an address to write to for information about MN Records in Cardiff. I have the address but at the moment can't put my hand on it - on account of my files collapsed and deposited the lot all over the floor!! You should be able to find it if you look around the MN sites. I will post it on here if I manage to find it as I am sorting things out. Kathleen

The PRO (Now National Archive) have lots of helpful leaflets on how to access the records for Merchant Navy there, the catalogue is on line, and you can seach for names in the more recent records, othewise you need to visit to get things like seamens tickets, and ship numbers.

Christine The site Margaret mentioned for the MNA also has some very useful links. Billy Mcgee's site is very helpful and Billy is great for finding information. Merchant Navy Day is September 3rd Kathleen
