I have been using this site probably since it was started but never used the tips board until about a week or so ago. In the last week , Margaret Drummond has given me information which I have been looking for over a number of years. I have noticed ,after browsing through a few of the requests on this site that Margaret has given info and advice to others. I would just like to publicly say to Margaret,Many Thanks. You are a real gem. Christine.

I would also like to thank Margaret too, she has been helping me with my scottish connction of the Browns, and she has been a star. It's so nice that most people on here help you, as we all know how much it means to us in tracing our family members and we all have this in common. It's very important to know your roots as this is not just for us, but I like to think of it of helping my future generations know where they are from. Thank you so much Christine and Catherine. Glad I could be of help. I have so much help here myself that it gives me a kick if I can be of help to others. If anyone is looking for a look up on the 1881 Census for Scotland. Please e-mail me as I will be happy to do for you if given enough details. Regards Margaret
