May If you search for Joseph Worthington on (http://www.familysearch.org) you will find him as I did. His birth is stated as 1849 in Tunstall, Staffs., but that does not show on FreeBMD! That's foxed me. His wife is Ann Dove born 17 Aug 1851, Kegworth and they married 11 Nov 1867 at St Peters, Derby. There are also 5 children listed if you click on Family at the side of his name. Hi May I am reasearching Staffordshire Worthingtons, and I have alot of information on several Joseph Worthingtons from the Goldenhill/Pittshill area(just outside Tunstall)Non tie in with the age of your Joseph though. I accidently traced completely the wrong tree from my Great grandfather Thomas Worthington(born in Stoke)- picked the wrong Thomas and ended up with about 100 people who aren't mine! I have kept all the information, so if you like I will scan it when I get back to work on Monday , and email it to you- as it looks highly likely that your Joseph will fit in with this lot somewhere! You'll have to ask if you acn't read my writing though! Regards Maxine

Thank you all very much for your help. Didn't expect so many replies. Perhaps you can help me with another one or is that being greedy. On the 1881 census it states that Joseph Worthington was 32 and birthplace Tunstall Stafford, wife Annie born Kegworth. I sent for Josephs birth certificate but they could not find anything for him. So he is another elusive one. He was my great grandfather. Regards May
