hi there. I am quite new and would like to connect to gedcom. dont quite understand help tips it gives. can anyone be kind enough to explain to me what i need to do?! many thanks

Julie Gedcom isn't anything you can connect to, it's a type of file that is used in most genealogy programs. It means you can import and export data from one system to another without having to resort to typing it all up again. If you have a genealogy program on your computer and someone sends you data in gedcom format you can just import into a file within your own system. Beware though, open up a new file to import as it may overwrite the data you already have. Margaret
