I don't have any credits left for 1901, so couldn't do a detailed search, but found the following: Thomas Gillender age 14, born Newcastle on Tyne, Northumberland Benwell, Grocer's Errand Boy Thomas Gillender age 20, born Durham Gateshead, Gateshead, Brass Finisher Thomas Gillender age 36, born Percy Main, Northumberland Benwell, Ordnance Fitter. So if any of those look right to you, it would be worth investing £5 in a more detailed search. Jan.

Can anybody please look at the 1901 cencus for Gateshead to see if they can find my Gr. Grandad and his family? He was THOMAS GILLENDER,wife ANN(nee BELL). They lived at :11 RUSSELL TERRACE, GATESHEAD in 1892(when my Grandad JAMES WALTON) was born, Gr.Grandad was a labourer at the Iron Works. I would like to know what other members there was in my Grandad's family, as my Uncle(he's 83yrs.old) and my Mum can't remember either since she was ill a few years ago.Many Thanks, Carol.
