Hi Liz If you have time could you look up a marriage for me. Frederick Lock b.1838/39 Ridge, Hertford Susan b.1837/38 Lonstiff/Lowestoft Suffolk. I am desparate to find out what Susan's maiden name was. Their eldest child was born in 1870 so I assume they were married just before that (although I know we can't take anything for granted in this game!) Can't find anything on the net. Regards Jeanette

Elizabeth, If you haven't been too inundated I'd appreciate some help with my grandmother. Her name was Maud Gwendoline Rosamund Webb and she was born 13th february 1913 or 1912. I managed to find it when I was at the FRO a few months back but for the life of me I can't find where I wrote the reference to get the birth certificate for her parents full names. It's definitely in the book for the March quarter - that much I remember. if you don't have time it's not a problem as I'll be back myself in the next couple of months. By the way it's addictive. I managed to spend a whole day in there without realising the time until someone offered to help me put my books away!! HAVE FUN Zoe

Elizabeth, Well done I thought that was an extremely generous offer, whenever I go to FRO I try to pare down my list of things I want to find out to a managable and doable one, and I never get through all the stuff I want for myself never mind the extras for other people. I could happly spend a week there. Well done if you did manage to find out anything for your enquiriers, some of whom had rather tall orders I thought. Pam
