Dot, Iv found a Robert Willis on the 1891, Living with his mother May and his brother Cuthbert in Newcastle. Do you feel that Newcastle area is hopeful? There are lots of parish registers at Newcastle and I want to aim for the correct one.

Hi May, Well the way I do it is by searching through the census returns,MI's Parish records and in fact anything that anyone asks me for.As long as its accesible of course,At Newcastle library they have quite a lot of stuff including Baptisms and census returns, not just for Newcastle itself but for the Northumberland area.A lot of suff is held at other places,If you want to know exactly what resources Newcastle has,,go to Genuki and type Libraries into the search engine. Let me know how you get on, Claire

Hello Claire, Can you tell me how you do a look up please. I started researching a few months ago, but only on the internet. I would like to go and have a lookup myself but lookup where? When I first started I went to Newcastle library but they told me I had to do some more research first. Can you point me in the right direction.? May
