Hello Ann According to My Ancestors were English Presbyterians or Unitarians by Alan Ruston. Dissent describes those denominations, however loosely defined, which arose after 1662, and is considered to consist of the Baptist, the Indipendants and the English Presbyterians (The Three Denominations). They 'dissented' from the life and work of the Church of England. Which was the official church by law established as it remains today. Sometimes they were called Protestant Dissenters. I am afraid it does not mention dissenters ground. I can only think it means the chapel where your ancestor went. Shirley.
