I want to find the birth of my GG Grandfather Richard Albert Gurney in London so I can order the certificate but his birth year varies from record to record. Can anyone give me their opinion as to what year they would start looking... Marriage cert 1870 gives his age as 23 = 1847 (wife 20) 1881 Census gives his age as 41 = 1840 (wife 28) 1901 Census give his age as 58 = 1843 (wife 49) I tend to think he fibbed on the marriage cert and believe his wife was only about 16/17 at the time. I have only about 30 credits left for 1837 site (GUR usually covers 2 pages a quarter and I always seem to guess the wrong one!)and can't really afford any more just now. Can anyone tell me where they would start looking.

Thanks Elaine. This is not me being stupid. BMD has been updated today and this has only just appeared! It wasn't there yesterday, honest. Thanks for looking.
