stuck on a family member who no-one remembers. dates around 1903-1910 so the census isn't a help unfortunately. does anyone know of a site which holds data for this period. bit of a longshot i realise. thanks in advance.

Hiya dauna, Yeah ive tried that and countless others already, knew it was a long shot with the date being before 1901 but had to give it a try to see if anyone knew of any sites. Thanks anyway..

Hello Demelza again. I have 1837online which gives data on Births, Marriages and Deaths from 1837 to 2001. What have you got by way of names and I'll look

One thing I found very helpful was gravestones. Children were often buried alondside parents. You might get a spouse's name too, ie Elizabeth Alice loved wife of Thomas W Ridley Of course you've got to know where they died first - but I got lucky as my Great Great Uncle had written down plot reference numbers. Hiya Keith, This is for my boyfriend..hes new to this and a bit stuck....The name is John Berry Tatlock, born somewhere in lancashire in dec 1905. Weve got this information but from looking at the records theres any munber of Tatlocks in same area who could be his parents....short of getting his birth certificate would there be any other way of seeing his name alondside his parents to narrow the search.....long shot and im not hopefull i know but its worth a try...... Your so helpful!.....Demelza
