Hi I'm trying to find the marriage between my ggrand-parents, Wiliam Brazell and Mary James. It was his second marriage (the other was to a Mary too) and she was aged 17 when her first child was born in 1879. I've tried 1837online from that date until 1889 when my grandmother was born, but no joy. Was she married before she was 16???? They both lived in Morriston, S Wales, but could have married anywhere. Any info and I'll be very grateful. Penny

There's a marriage for William Brazell on Free BMD, Jun 1880 Swansea 11a 891. The matching female has not yet been transcribed. Could this be the one?

Helen - this could possibly be a hit! I've looked up quite a few, then looked under James, but so far none matched. I'll have a go with this one. Thanks for your help everyone. I'll ring Cardiff on Saturday - hopefully they will be open. Oh, and I'll try the two years to aged 16 too!! Penny

Hi Helen I looked up the reference under James, but no, unfortunately it wasn't there! Guess I'll have to contact Glamorgan - or I might end up visiting FRO in London as I've quite a few mysteries to solve. Thanks for your help anyway! Penny
