Yes, girls could marry at 12 and boys at 14, changed to 18 in 1927, and then down to 16 in the 60's, can't remember the exact dates. Ros

Full age is over 21 - but bear in mind that they often got their ages wrong or told fibs!! Maz. XX

My gggrandmother married in 1860. Her age is described as "minor with consent". My gggrandfather is described as age "Full". At what age did a person go from minor with consent to Full? Any help appreciated.
