Marriage in Grimsby

I am trying to find the marriage of John Esan Johnson and Cissy Jacobs in Grimsby around 1916/1917, there first child Susannah was born 1917 when Cissy was aged 18. Can anyone offer any help, I've tried civil registration list. Many thanks

Christine As the dates are later than anything that is online you will be better off ringing Grimsby Library to see if they have the records there. If not they could be at Doncaster. Regards Jeanette

Christine,,, My sister has lots of stuff for Grimsby,,,,, I will ask her to look for you. By the way,,,,Doncaster does'nt hold records for Grimsby,,,these are held at Lincoln Archives, Lincoln and North East Lincs Archives in Grimsby. Grimsby Library does not hole Parish Registers

Christine The marriage was actually 30/9/1897 at St andrews Grimsby. John Esau Johnson age 20, 26 Orwell st, father John Lee Johnson fisherman married Sissy Rhena Jacobs age 19,30 Orwell St, father James Deceased ships captain Hope this helps ps will send a few others by e-mail via an attachment George in Grimsby
