Still looking for my adopted brother John McGibbon dob 01/09/1946 can any one put me out of my misery my eyes are going round and round going nowhere I would bevery grateful many thanks Helen.

Hello Helen, I have just found this on the PRO site for you Adoption records are not held at the PRO they are at htt://www(.)familyrecords(.)gov(.)uk/topics/adoption(.)htm They also recommend asking your library for Georgina Staffords book "where to find Adoption Records" issued by the adopting agencies in 1993.
