Does anyone know what years Census Records exist in Ireland? I know most have been destroyed prior to 1880. In particular, I am looking for lookups in County Down (1880 to 1900s) & Tipperary (anything after 1835).

Hi Paul, As you already know alot of the records were destroyed or lost in a fire in the PRO in 1922. At the moment I am reading a book called 'the people detective' it is in the Genes shop. At the back it has a list of useful address. The book also suggests 'that that you read one of the many books exclusively covering Ireland' Here are some which may be able to help you.
