Have the following information: Selina Roles nee Worner 1881 census gives birth as 1844,Stapleton Her marriage record in All Saints Martock gives 1843 Her death records in Holy Trinity Ash gives 1843 A baptism record for Selina Worner in All Saints, Martock gives may 1843 but birth place as Coat not Stapleton. I can find no other baptism / birth record for her. Could these two be the same people? Would the census in 1881 have got her birth place wrong? Stapleton/Coat? Please help, am I barking up the wrong tree? Thanks, Sinead

As my UK Road Atlas shows Coat and Stapleton are villages about a quarter of a mile apart I am sure this will be the same person. Martock is about 1/2 mile away!

Thanks, yes that's what I thought but needed a sane rational person to check-my brain is totally fried with names, dates, places, marriages etc. Never let anyone say that family trees are easy or leave you sane!!!!!

Hi, Check the GRO index of births, marriages and deaths for the dates that are possible for her birth. If only one is registered she is likely to be yours (although some children went unregistered - it is quite rare). The birth certificate should confirm it. Hope this helps, Gwynne
